Cpl. Talavou Tanuvasa shows Spc. James Raykowski, a combat medic, where a scorpion bit him. Tanuvasa was on a desert patrol when the scorpion struck. According to Raykowski, all scorpions carry venom but only a few species can kill humans. Luckily for Tanuvas, the scorpion that bit him was non-lethal. Both Soldiers are with 3rd Battalion, 297th Infantry, Alaska Army National Guard. Tanuvasa lives in Anchorage, and Raykowski is from Kodiak.
